Women’s New Moon Circle

Under the tree circle and altar space with no one present*** Paititi loves how we’ve inspired members of our community to start and develop communities of their own.  Here’s a recent update from some family in Colorado.***

The Eagle’s Nest might be in a place where it is not yet ready to have large gathering, but we’ve (Indira, Anastacia, and Kirsten) been feeling out whether it is feasible to create a retreat center further down in the Valley in the meantime and as an additional space.  As ideas are being tossed around one of the desires that came up was to host the North Fork Valley’s monthly New Moon gathering in order to being to bring that intention to light.

The New Moon Circle is a group that Anastacia has been involved with in the past and one that comes with its own traditions.

One of the highlights of the night came because the New Moon fell on the Jewish Holiday of Rosh Hashanah.  We were gifted that evening by partaking in two traditions from that culture by Valerie.  She shared with us the prayer that goes with the apple dipped in honey and with that we wished each other a sweet new year.  She also walked us to the irrigation ditch, our nearest running water, where we gave the waters the things that we no longer needed by throwing rice cake (bread) crumbs in.

It was an honor to have the group there and we look forward to opening up our doors again in the future to host that circle.
